Ensign Marie Lyndosee walked into the chief security officers 
office and stood before her boss and awaited the possible lecture 
she would get for the bridge incident. The small four foot girl
looked up to her boss and gulped before lowering her eyes.
"I was asked to come Sir, how may I help you?"
 
Jason looked up from his console. "Yes. Have a seat, Ensign"

Marie sat quickly, a look of worry across her face as she waited
for the lecture her eyes lowered but obediently and quietly waiting.
 
Jason frowned a bit. "Ensign, what are the proper procedures for
reporting to a superior officer while they are on the bridge?"

"According to academy procedure, wait for a time when there not
occupied, until then stand at attention out of the way and make
yourself useful if able."

Jason nodded. "Might be true at the academy, but here....." he
paused and took a breath, "Ensign, you should have checked in
with the captain and first officer before coming to me." He said
standing up. Jason moved to the front of his desk and sat on the
edge. "However, now that its out if the way, welcome aboard"
he said, extending his hand for a hand shake, "Im your boss,
Lieutenant DuMont. I trust youve unpacked and situated your
quarters?"

Ensign Marie gulped and nodded listening before whispering, "I
am sorry Mas.. I am sorry Sir." She then nodded and looked about a 
bit, hesitating before saying, "I have two small boxes, I... am not
used to having possessions. For the most part the room is bare like
I am used to. So all is well."


Jason chuckled. "If I may make a suggestion, Ensign. Relax. Your all 
wound up. Your not in trouble, you didn't do anything disastrous. 
Calm down and relax, and that's an order. You have to relax. Surely 
being on your toes is a necessity for security officers, but you also have 
to stay at ease at some points, or you'll take off your superiors head with 
whatever weapon you'll be yielding." Jason laughed and stood up again.
"Well, lets get you started," he said picking up a PADD with security duty
rosters on it, "You will be on Beta team. Your first order, is to relax. Secondly,
go to the armory. Start weapons inspection and cleaning. Dismissed"

Ensign Marie snapped to attention and repeated, "Relax, yes Sir, I will go
at once to the armory and do more then my best to make sure everything
is perfect Sir." She bowed her head respectfuly and turned and sliped out
to the armoury.

Jason rubbed his temples, feeling a head ache coming along. "I tell her to 
relax, and she snaps to attention" he said to himself. This was going to be 
difficult. He could already tell. "Ill have to sit down and talk to her on a 
personal level, without rank getting in the way" He chuckled and sat 
down at his desk, continuing his paperwork.
