<<[Caves]

Nick was as stoic as ever. He just watched his surroundings for the moment,
helping where he could. Inwardly, however, he frowned. "I'd prefer you take
an escort just to the site to site location, ma'am," he said to Cait. Thing
was, he trusted the inhabitants just fine, but what he didn't trust was the
Xelucians... or even the Orions, to not try anything while they were helping
people. Whether the planet was doomed or not. "Once you beam out I can
return here," he added. >>

[Shuttle]

Justin quickly moved over to the transport controls and started making sure
he could safely transport the patient. He was fairly sure it would work,
but with this, he needed to be absolutely sure.

[Caves]

"You're in charge of security, Mister Reed." Cait said as she worked to get
the woman to a point where she could be carried out of the caves. Looking
around, she spotted her senior nurse. "Meyers, you're with me."

Kat watched Cait from a short distance before continuing to inoculate the
people one after another. pausing only to brush back bothersome strands of
hair that kept falling into her face. She couldn't help but to glance over
at Reed from time to time trying not to let her mind wander to the personal
issues that were between them. She smirked thinking it'd be a long time
before they'd get the chance to even begin to resolve their differences.
There was much work to be done and she was determined to get it done. Kat
motioned for a couple of the techs assisting to help the other doctor get
as many people inoculated as possible.

After several tests, he was sure it would be safe. Now Justin waited for
the call for transport. While he waited he took additional solar flare
readings.

[Caves]

Once the stretcher had arrived, Cait supervised the loading of her patient.
"Alright, let's move it, people." She headed for the front entrance, praying
they weren't to late. How ever could they think the woman was getting better
was beyond her.

[Vimy Ridge]

Vilqa crossed her arms tightly over her chest, "Lox Medical teams are
standing by." Her eyes diverted toward Toby, they all knew the risk
involved in this. She held in a breath for a moment hoping to get
acknowledgment from the surface; fingers twitching slightly; every second
seemed a minute, each minute an hour during this mission. Questions
continued in her mind that directly or indirectly affected her team. Was
there any crustal displacement on the planet's surface; were tremors
evident? Her mind moved beyond the 'now' which only heightened her
anxiousness that she kept mostly hidden but not all on the surface.

[Shuttle]

"Lox to Vimyridge. Just waiting on the patient, transport will commence
immediately upon contact." Justin was somewhat impatient, but he was
doing his best not to show it. He was trying to fill the time by doing
other things that would help later.

"Lox," Vilqa stated, "Have you noticed any structural displacement on the
surface? I want you and the team to be mindful of any possible crustal
displacement which would hinder the caves or any other structure to be
unstable."

"Nothing showing on the scanners at this time. I'll keep watching, as
seismic
activity is increasing, but very slowly." Justin replied.

"Thank you," Vilqa said, "I will have out science teams on the vessel
monitor any core warming."
