The shuttle flight was short but given the circumstances even five minutes
gave enough time to ponder what they might find upon landing on the planets
surface. Cho'lu had gone ahead of them but had not reported on the condition
that they might find the planets citizenry in. He had seen people before who
had been poisoned by radioactivity. It wasn't pleasant. He was sure Cait was
thinking the same thing.

Nix would be looking into the reasons behind the radiation. That it might
possibly have been done on purpose horrified him, though it wasn't a
surprise. Humanoid species did many terrible things in the name of
competition or revenge. It was a natural tendency to think of ones self
first, and that applied it seemed, as a race as well. In earths own history
white had done it to black, Muslim to Christian, everyone to Jews, and vice
versa for all. He shook his head while he remained deep in thought. Humanity
did not have a pretty history and other races were no different. No, it
seemed the one constant flaw.

Vulcans had dealt with their more aggressive emotions early on due to the
horrific amount of violence that they had heaped on one another. It was a
wise choice but still left much of life to be unfelt. It was not the way for
most races, and there were a few vulcans that even questioned whether it was
their way. And so Kylee would go to the asteroids, with the facts that
Justin and she had unearthed, and test their theory. Discover, or rather
prove, for in her mind he thought that it was probably a full gone
conclusion, that this atrocity had been committed by another.

What would they find? How would they stop it? What should they do?

K'ylana. How would she do being so far away from those on the planets
surface. He prayed silently that communications would not be cut off. He
could only imagine the stress it would cause upon both K'ylana and Toby, and
if he was really honest, himself. He didn't want K'ylana stressed, he didn't
want her worrying. There was enough for her to worry about. His feelings
were getting stronger in that regard and he realised it almost as a
surprise. His thoughts were not quite as neatly ordered and arranged as he
would have liked.

"We're approaching the planet".

He almost jumped at the voice, then shook himself from his revery to dive
into the mission at hand.
